What is Roleplay Combat?
Roleplay combat is the art of fighting imaginary targets, pretending it is there, as all our characters react to the threat. The enemy can be anything from an Ooc ambush to huge abomination. Usually the enemy is representent by a raid marker, but sometimes there is room for creativity and it can be something else.
Basics (Health, Damage, Rolls)
Now this is the core of Roleplay combat you need to understand, it is turn-based fighting and is very similar to how you fight in Dungeons and Dragons (If you so happen to have played that) if not here is the idea: You do a /roll and what you roll determines what you can do to the enemy, or how you can avoid an attack. If you strike/get hit damage will be dealth with ofcourse drains health, when one side hits 0 health the outcome of the battle is determined, and we have a winner. So let me put up an example: Johnson (Warrior) and Allysia (Hunter) are fighting Mebeth (Warlock) and Iyu (Druid) here are their stats:
- Johnson: 5 Health. Specialty: Defence.
- Allysia: 4 Health. Specialty: Damage.
- Mebeth 2 Health. Specialty: Damage.
- Iyu: 3 Health. Specialty: Healing.
Now let us say the roll conditions for this battle are: 1-20: Miss, 21-50: 1 Damage, 51-80: 2 Damage, 81-100: 3 Damage.
It is Mebeth and Iyu's turn, Mebeth rolls a 33 and Iyu rolls 78. Mebeth can only do 1 Damage so he takes Allysia down to 3 health, while Iyu did roll a 2 Damage roll, but her Specialty as healer converts it to healing so instead she restores Mebeth back up to 4 health (2 Health +2 Healing roll = 4 Health). Hope this helped you understand how the basics work.
In Aranmoore everyone have a basic health of 5 for each fight.
